In some terms we also run a Chamber Music Evening with cheese and wine – Click here for more details.
Twice a term in Michaelmas and Hilary, we hold chamber music “bashing” days on a Saturday or Sunday, where we invite all members to come along for a fun day of sight-reading through a variety of chamber music in different ensembles. The programme of the day is as follows:
Session 1: 10.30-12.00
Session 2: 13.30-14.30
Session 3: 15.00-16.00
You are free to sign up for as many or as few sessions as you like, although we have limited spaces for wind and piano players. Most people come for the whole day, but if you can only make part of the day, this is where you can let us know! All we ask is that you don’t cancel once you’ve signed up, as you will be put into a group as soon as you have; so pulling out will jeopardise other people’s enjoyment.
There is a £1 charge to attend the chamber day, to help us cover various costs of running the society. By signing up to the chamber day you automatically also become a member of the chamber society.
